smash, squish

USA English
how would you say that something was smashed or squished?

I don't find anything in the dictionary like those words... like, something was squashed in the mail.

"The gift was squished in the mail, and all smashed up when I opened it."

    To smash:
    1. transitive and intransitive verb break something into pieces: to break something into many small pieces, or be broken in this way

    To squish:
    1. transitive verb squeeze something: to squeeze or crush something soft

Puedes decir (todo) arrugado (squished) y hecho pedazos/(todo) roto (smashed).

    Espero que te sirva
