When asked if the test was difficult or easy, what is the best way to say that the test was not difficult, but it was not easy? Can I say that the test was so so?

    Hi,

so so would work for me.
You could also say, it was 'six of one, half a dozen of the other' which means generally, neither one thing nor the other.

I think the most common response around here would just be "okay" or maybe "not great, bu not horrible."
I don't think we would use "so so" but I understand it.
