Hi,

I would like to inquire about a specific term that might exist in Enlish to describe the moment of a game when a player shoots on goal, a defender manages to deflect a ball (makes a clearance), but a player of the attacking team picks up the ball and gets the possibility to resume the attack. Could it be ball pick-up or attack resume?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks you.

I don't know if there is a specific term for this but I have heard football commentators saying, "Another chance here for xxxxxxx!"

Edit: I've just remembered, "xxxxxx are back in possession (of the ball)."
