Social banquet

Hello,

would somebody be able to tell me what a "Social banquet" exactely is and how I can translate it into French? I found it in an article that speaks about hotels and facilities.

My attempt would be "Fonctions" but I think it's something more specific.

when you google "social banquet", you find "corporate and social banquet ballroom" though
(sorry, I still don't know how to insert a link ! )

Very probably, but it's still a tautology. A banquet is an elaborate meal for a large group of people, so how can a banquet not be social?

Thanks everyone for the help, I think I found out what it exactely is: appearently it is a banquet organized by a club or an association
