sold on the school

I was reading an English magazine and here's my question:

It might be risky, but Andrew Tsukuda is sold on the school. The 18-year-old just finished his first year at Loyola Marymount University.

Source: Let's Get Practical--By Emily Deruy. The Mercury News (San Jose, California)

Does "is sold on the school" mean that "Andrew Tsukuda" has signed a contract with some other companies before graduating?

Thanks a lot
