Después de una noche defendiéndose de unos gángsters, la protagonista ve llegar a la policía. El sargento al mando se presenta y le dice: "Nos han dicho que ha tenido problemas esta noche. Someone’s been on the hot line to Albany and Washington"

    This is just my guess.
    I think it means that some important telephone calls had been made to The White House (or at least the police authorities, FBI? CIA?) in Washington DC, as well as to Albany (state capital and administrative centre of New York).

    Best wait for some Americans to reply!
