In the cartoon Jungle Book, when Mowgli seems to be upset and angry, Bagheera says this about him:
"Something’s eating that man-cub"
What does that mean?
Thanks for help!

And man-cub means child, but only in the sense of this book. A cub is a young animal, so the other animals call Mowgli a man-cub, since they view him as a young wild animal, and not as a regular human child.
