space before the colon

I wish to tell a friend:

"This is a minor note: in English, there is no space before the colon." (speaking of writing style)

"Une petite remarque: en anglais, il n'y pas d'espace avant les deux-points." OR
"Une petite remarque: en anglais, nous ne mettons pas d'espace avant les deux-points."

Is my French version correct please? Thank you!

    The first one is great except an "a" is missing as le Fnake says.

    In the second, we would replace the "nous" form with "on" (on ne met pas d'espace...)
