    Hi, everyone

Let us say I am short on space on my clothesline and I need draw the clothes together so that their edges overlap, could I say "squash(or squish, if it is used more often) the clothes together" ?

    Thank you

In the US we sometimes use "scrunch together." All of these verbs are informal.

I need to squish/scrunch the washing closer together on the line so that they all fit.
