Bonjour,

Je dois traduire cette phrase en français et je ne comprends pas bien le sens de STAGE dans ce contexte :
"even with the collapse of a once thriving fishery, people continue to hold on to and repair the many desolate stages that are scattered along the coastline"

Could anyone help me ?

  • Is this passage from a Canadian text, by any chance?
Stages on a coastline could refer to fishing stages, small wooden buildings along the water (very common in Newfoundland).
