statement of public policy

How would you translate this? A "statement of public policy" was run by a big company as an ad, asserting that a certain law would have caused the company to collapse and thousands of employees to lose their jobs. "Comunicato/dichiarazione di politiche pubbliche"? Does it make sense?

This is one of those "formal" phrases that really means:
Company X would like to make a statement about our opinions on the possible passage of the law.

"Public policy" is "the opinion of the company, that is given to the public, regarding X".

Wild guess: Una dichiarazione della linea politica della societa' communicata al pubblico.

But I'm sure you can make it much shorter, and more natural.
