    Hi,

I'm trying to translate this sentence in french but i can't really understand what it means.

    Context:
"Find yourself a girl, and settle down
Live a simple life in a quiet town
Steady as she goes (steady as she goes)
Your friends have shown a kink in the single life
    [...]" (from Raconteurs' song ;D)

Someone translated that "change de vie pour elle" but I'm not sure it's the better translation. Any help would be appreciated.

Steady as she goes is a nautical term meaning: Steer as needed to continue current heading.

How it applies in lyrics is up to you to decide. :D
