Hello, how do I say "stick the landing" in Portuguese? This is like pausing when you land from a jump (to avoid falling).

Hello, how do I say "stick the landing" in Portuguese? This is like pausing when you land from a jump (to avoid falling).
It will depend on the context and the sentence. Would you give us a whole sentence as an example? I'll give you some but I don't know if that's what you're looking for:

    1. an example in gymnastics: You will get more points if you stick the landing = Você ganhará mais pontos se cair direito (or "cravar a aterrissagem" which is a gymnastics lingo.)
    2. an airplane: He flew it well but he failed to stick the landing = Ele voou bem, mas falhou ao pousar.

What Jazyk said is a jargon used by narrators during gymnastics competitions. When an athlete jumps and lands flawlessly they say "Ele(a) cravou a aterrissagem.
