Hi! I am learning the word" strategy".
My source says it means a general plan or set of plans intend to achieve something, especially over a long period.
So is my usage right?
The new government is trying to plan a strategy in order to save economic recession.
Could you check it for me ?

    • The government is more likely to develop a strategy. Perhaps it is developing a strategy to avoid economic recession.

    Typically, a strategy will include, or lead to, a set of plans to implement the strategy - but these words do not have clearly-defined meanings.

    The government may even be planning to develop a strategy :)
     
    I would add that really no one wants to "save an economic recession"; they would want to "prevent, avoid, or respond to it".
