Hello.

How would you say a "string" (of a tennis racquet) in Polish? It is a noun. It is a part of a tennis racquet that touchs the ball while playing.

a picture

(on the picture it is the part on which is written IDM)

no suggestions

Thank you.

    I don't know if it's a professional term but I'd use: żyłka.

I think that the total of all of the strings in a racquet is called: naciąg.

    It is naciąg.

Njumi, sorry, I didn't see your post. And I would say that a professional term for one of the strings in a racquet is rather struna than żyłka, as Audiolaik said.

The word żyłka reminds me of my childhood. At that time, there were some racquets available on the market. They were of rather poor quality. Instead of professional strings, they were equipped with some kind of fishing lines.:)
