    Hi Alberto, English prepositions are slightly more arbitrary than Italian ones. Grammatical explanations do exist, but I found it's wiser just to memorize their use. It takes less time and is less confusing.

    Actually, Alberto, there's nothing wrong with "study about" in the right context, but you haven't given us a complete sentence, so we cannot tell if it would be right in your examples. Here's some examples taken from the British National Corpus:
    and I had also, as part of my Advisory Council work, directed and written up the first major study about adults, educational experience and needs

    Furthermore, the data derived from this study about caring is obviously dependent upon respondents' perception of their status as either carers or non-carers.
