Hi!

I came across a description of a movie that used the word "viscerally"

Smart, innovative, and thrilling, this film is that rare summer blockbuster that succeeds viscerally as well as intellectually.
Looked the meaning up in a dictionary,
Adv.1.viscerally - in an unreasoning visceral manner unreasoningly
2.viscerally - in the viscera; "he is bleeding viscerally"
but still do not quite understand it.

Can you please explain it a little?

The film affects your emotions or "guts" strongly. Here "visceral" means that the film excites you physically as well as intellectually.
