suggestive prose

Hello Everyone,

I have a question about the phrase "suggestive prose". Does that phrase refer to a sexual misconduct? Here is the context:

"In spare suggestive prose, Laurence Picq give us a unique, insiders view of the Cambodian genocide."

Your explanation/suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, "suggestive" usually has a sexual meaning in English. It's often found as a "false friend" in the writings of second-language English speakers. (Here the speaker's first language is French, or perhaps French-influenced.)

    The English term is "evocative":)
