Special horses with strong legs and sway backs were bred.


What does 'sway' mean here? It should be an adjective, but the meanings I've found don't make any sense.

    It seems to me that having a sway back is not a healthy and comfortable situation. But in the text those horses are chosen for riding, I wonder if they are still capable of bearing heavy weights.

    Here I quote the full sentence: Special horses with strong legs and sway backs were bred to carry the knights in their heavy suits of armor.
