Swedish: Hjortron Sylt

Hej:
During a recent trip to Stockholm, I went to a supermarket and asked a local what food I could take back to England that was typically Swedish. She pointed to a jar on the shelf…”Hjortron Sylt”. I’m still not sure what it is – it looks like jam. How should this “jam” be eaten? Any suggestions?
Here’s what was on the label:

    • ah, hjortronsylt =) It's really tasty, you should try it out as soon as possible. As a kid it was always a special occasion when my mom had bought a jar of the stuff, she would serve it together with icecream usually. Cloudberries only grow in the north so the jam is a bit more expensive than regular jams, guess that's why it was considered "special" in my family. As for the label, it only states that the jam was produced at Torfolk farm, that it should be kept cold when opened, that it's produced using only natural ingredients and finally "WE MAKE THE FOOD THAT WE OURSELVES WANT TO EAT!"
