Swedish: Numbering things

    Hello,

    I am writing a software which need to number some object names or magnitude names, etc.
    For example from "instrument" translated in various languages, the software attaches a number AFTER it to show the string:
    "instrument 1", "instrument 2", "instrument 3", etc. or
    "value 1", "value 2", "value 3", ...
    "index 1", "index 2", "index 3", ...
    "step 1", "step 2", "step 3", ...
    "distance 1", "distance 2", "distance 3", ...

    I would like to know if in Swedish it's right to put the number AFTER the word like in the English examples above.

    Yes, it's the same as in English. (Steg 1= "step 1". 1 steg= "1 step".)
