Hi. What exactly is a "syndicated" press corporation? As opposed to a regular, non-syndicated one?

While we are at it, what is a "padded" contract? As opposed to a regularing non-padded contract?

The whole sentence is: "A journalist is a journalist, whether they're under a padded contract raking in the big bucks from a syndicated press corporation.."

Thanks.

A syndicated media corporation doesn't itself print or broadcast something, but sells its content (news articles, editorial articles, comic strips, photographs, etc.) to other meida like newspapers or radio stations or TV channels.

A "padded contract" is one that is well-paid or otherwise beneficial or advantageous.
