Hi again!

Could anyone explain what kind of bait would a tinseltown bait be?
This is the context: (Again part of Harry Potter's last film review)
"Yesterday, with a lacklustre al fresco cavalcade of special effects and just a single beaming starlet, you could see that some effort was being made. For their part, a relatively sparse throng of Japan’s die-hard muggles pretended to take the tinseltown bait."
Thanks a lot for your help!!

Who on earth writes this kind of twaddle? It reads like the homework assignment of a twelve year old, in which he was required to use ten new words.

Ouch! It looks like a piece of work waiting to be the next comprehension passage in the GCSE O Levels exam paper. :p
I can just imagine the questions.

Make sentences with the following phrases:
    "an emaciated platoon"
    "bellowing cod-psychoanalysis"
"the true denouement of the cycle"

Did he write with the help of The Monster Thesaurus for Writers? :D
