I was writing an informal letter but I wasn't sure if such use of tag questions are correct.

People tend to eat more and more fast food. Teenagers especially, don't we?

I know that technically I should use the subject of the sentence in a tag question but if it's a less formal style and I'm talking from teenager's perspective?

. . . you can still do it grammatically. ;) Try:

People—especially teenagers—tend to eat more and more fast food, don't we?

Better still: We teenagers tend to eat more and more fast food, don't we?
