Hello everyone,

I'm new at this forum and I'd like to ask you about the meaning of the word "term" at the end of the next paragraph.

"***, a Company registered under the Laws of South Africa , having its Registered office at **** Street, ****, South Africa and represented by its authorized signatories Mr. **** and Mr. *** (hereinafter referred to as “****”) which term shall mean and include its Successors in interest and assigns of the FIRST PART;"

Thank you for your help in advance.

"Term" is a word, something that refers to something else. They say the company shall be referred to as ****, and that word **** shall also refer to the company's successors.

    And welcome to the forum.

    Thank you for your reply.
I was also thinking that "term" referred to "****", but as "****" is in brackets I was in doubts.
