Sample sentence:

It may be fifty or a hunderd years from now that eventually humans will <be living><live> on Mars.

Question:

Are both options acceptable? If so, which is better?

    Both options are acceptable, but the beginning of the sentence is awkward. I would probably say something like:

    It may be that eventually, in fifty or a hundred years, humans will etc.
