That's his Second Nature

When you point to someone's behavior as second nature, could you say, "That's his second nature" besides "That's second nature to him"?

    "That's second nature to him" sounds the more idiomatic of the two, to my ears,
    I agree.

    "That's his second nature" doesn't sound idiomatic to me - and if I heard it I would guess that they meant "this is another side to his personality that we don't get to see very often".
