I want to say in a show, the actress was showing signs of aging and getting uglier with each passing episode.

I'd like to know if "The actress wasn't holding up well throughout the show" make sense. Thanks

"wasn't holding up well" generally implies mental state or condition rather than physical condition. Also, ugly is generally not a nice, or pleasant word to use when speaking about someone. It works well for insults, but not general descriptions of people.

She wasn't holding up well after the loss of both her husband and her son.

The actress showed signs of weakness and aging with each passing..
