The advance-level/ an advanced-level/ advanced level

< Previous | Next >

Hello all,
Could you please help me with the following sentence? I'm not sure whether it should be advanced level or an advanced level or the advanced level.

After four years, I had attained advanced-level knowledge of Turkish and had made significant progress in reading Russian texts.

Thank you.

"Advanced-level" looks fine for a compound adjective in that sentence. I might be satisfied with "advanced" by itself to say the same thing: I had attained an advanced knowledge of...

If you truly managed to do all that after four short years, that was a remarkable accomplishment.
