The context: The character was reading The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton and this is what she thought about the book.
I don't understand what she meant. Please help me!

    The Outsiders was written by teenage girl. It's a story about boys in gangs, but it's rather emotional. Today, the emotional bonding in it seems more appropriate for girls than gang members so it seems like a "relic" from an earlier time. The novel Gone with the Wind features in the plot. I won't spoil it for you, but if you want to spoil it for yourself:
