What is the nuance in meaning between أجرياء and شجعان when referring to a group of people? Both seem to mean "the brave ones", don't they?

  • It's similar to the difference between brave and bold.

This is from MW dictionary, you could apply this to the Arabic words:
    - brave (شجاع): often indicates lack of fear in alarming or difficult circumstances.
    - bold (جريء): may indicate a forward or defiant tendency to thrust oneself into difficult or dangerous situations.
Both seem to mean "the brave ones"
    This is also correct.
