Hello people, I am trying to figure out what is the spanish translation of merchandiser. The context is retail, note that merchandisers deal with market demands and not just logistics, those are the product planners.

Phrase: The buyer and merchandiser agree on stock volume for the stores.

Thanks for the help.

wow, thanks for the quick reply.

I believe comerciante also translates into trader. In the UK we have traders and merchandisers, traders get involved in marketing, merchandisers don't.
I have come across mercaderista and detallista as well as mercader but I dont know which one is correct! Any help. Thanks again.

    Catalan - Spanish
Un comerciante (trader) es un comercial (commercial) que trabaja en una tienda o un puesto al que acuden los clientes.

Un mercader sería lo mismo, pero no te lo aconsejo. Nuestra cultura juedocristiana le ha dado, como a mercadear, connotaciones más bien negativas.
