Hi everybody!
Is it more correct to say:
The character Leopold Bloom can be considered as the quintessential modern man
or
The character of Leopold Bloom can be considered as the quintessential modern man?

Thanks.

I would say: The character Leopold Bloom. It is referring to the fictional person as a being who represents the quintessential modern man.

The character of would be identifying an aspect of Leopold bloom as a person, something like personality, to give you an idea.

    Hope that helps.
