Hello

Is the usage of "Conventional wisdom" in the following sentence correct?
"The conventional wisdom is to be careful about about decisions and not to loss some opportunities we receive."

Thanks

"The conventional wisdom is to be careful about about decisions and not to lose some opportunities we receive."

The 'conventional wisdom' part is appropriate in this context, there are some vocabulary issues towards the end of the sentence which could be addressed in a separate thread.
