Hi there, if two people are having a conversation and they keep talking and talking, is it correct to say that the conversation flows? On the contrary, if for whatever reason they don't have anything else to say to each other, is it correct to say that the conversation isn't flowing anymore (or perhaps "the conversation isn't going smoothly anymore?")
thanks

In the first instance, since the conversation is ongoing, I would use "is flowing". Once that stopped. I would say "is no longer flowing".
