Hello,

I don't want to open a new topic as part of the subject i have doubts about are treat here. My question is... is the sentence "The day that you were born you were born free" is correct? I know "the day you were born" is correct but I'm not sure whether the usage of "that" is correct or not.

Yes, it is correct, except for a missing comma: ""The day that you were born, you were born free."

Personally, I would probably write, "On the day that you were born, you..." but this is simply a matter of style; others might disagree.

    hello
"the day you were born, you were born free" works well too. (that' is optional, but it's fine without it Berri00)

Yes i also think it sounds better without it, and we use 'that' in a more formal sentence but i wasn't absolutely sure until i read you guys. Again, thanks a lot all and thank you panjandrum for having created a new topic only based on my doubts.

    Cheers. :)
