Salut. I'm wondering how you'd say, 'The dolphin's jumping out of the water'. What I've got so far is, 'Le dauphin saute de l'eau'. I guess I'm having trouble with translating 'out' in the sentence. Perhaps it's not necessary in French? Merci for your help.

Le dauphin saute hors de l'eau.

Some people could say "saute au-dessus de l'eau" but that would mean he never touches it, like somebody jumping over a fence (quelqu'un saute au-dessus de la barrière).
