Dear all

This is quoted from a video clip on Youtube about a dog training.
When Lucky returned home we met once a week for the next month to build on obedience and counter-conditioning exercises. The family was diligent in their follow through.
Luckly's appetite improved, his family was able to routinely groom him, and he appeared excited to venture outside for daily walks.

What does 'in their follow through' mean here?

Thank you for your help.

  • The trainer, besides helping train the dog in person, gave the owners some exercizes or tasks to do with the dog before the trainer's next in-person session. The family 'followed through," i.e. continued in what they were supposed to do. They worked on their own with the dog, several times, in the manner recommended.
