Hey!! I have a small question here...

when i say, "the first thing that comes to mind is.." do you have to complete the sentence with an infinitive or with a verbe in the present continuous? For example: The first thing that comes to mind is to gobble /gobbling down a double hamburger.. can somebody help me? thanks in advance!!
