How can I translate this phrase to French:

The government itself is inclined to mis-describe dead-end jobs as "entry-level"

I don't know how to translate "mis-describe".

Thanks!

That's what I thought so "dépeindre" doesn't work because we're loosing the idea of a false description ;)

I'm not sure I get the English sentence though. The governement describes the dead-end jobs as entry-level jobs but it shouldn't?

Yes, I think that's the idea. The description is misleading. An entry-level job may give the notion of chance for advancement, but a dead-end job offers no such possibility.

    Suggestion:
...dissimuler les voie de garage en les présentant comme des débuts de carrière...

Gil je vais prendre ta traduction, je la trouve très appropriée dans ce contexte.
