In physics, a mirror causes reflection of the ray of light. A correct example for deflection would be more "The star mass causes deflection of the rays of light ". Reflection is a strong direction modification, like a bounce whereas deflection is a smooth and regular change. Can also be used for an electron beam deflected by an electrostatic field.
