Is there a direct translation for "The Patriot Act" or does it stay the same?
I am translating an application and at the bottom it says,"Required information by The Department of Homeland Security and The Patriot Act"
so I am not sure if I have to translate it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I just consult the internet, and found out that the international press, US government and others, are translating The Patriot Act as: Acta Patriota

This is the term in spanish they are using.

And by the way, it is in regards to the security measures taken after 9/11.

"Acta patriota" is an excesive literal translation. In Spain, we call it La ley patriota or ley patriota. Act is a "false friend" of Acta, that means minutes, record, affidavit etc etc

    saludos!

Hola, estoy traduciendo un contrato y tiene en su primera página lo siguiente:

    Forward/USA Patriot Act

Cómo se podría traducir esto? Siguiente/Avance / Ley Patriota de EE.UU.
