when you are on a mobile phone to someone and the line is not very good and you can't really hear the other person, what kind of things can you say?

    Salut wildan1. Je viens de trouver dans mon Robert & Collins : "You're breaking up." Je ne te capte plus.

    I thought "Je ne te capte plus" would be more "I just don't get you anymore" ... 'get' in the sense 'understand,' 'feel sympatico with."

    spontanément =ça coupe !
    C'est ce que je dirais aussi. Ou - littéralement - la ligne coupe.

    Sinon, je dirais comme Wildan : je t'/vous entends mal ou je ne t'/vous entend pas bien...

    Capter - que je dis seulement dans l'expression « capter l'attention » ne me serait jamais venu à l'esprit, dans ce contexte.
