The server has gone down

I need to say "the sever has gone down" in Spanish.
My try is:
"Ha fallo el server" but I'm sure that's not right. Can anyone please help?

The context is that we cannot use our business system because of a problem with the central server. I don't know (and I don't need to know) exactly what hat problem is.

Thanks
Steve

  • I suggest you check what country the translation is needed for.
While I agree that "ha fallado" and "ha caído" are correct translations for "has gone down", in countries such as Mexico, simple past tense such is much more common than perfect tense.
In Mexico we would say "el servidor se cayó" or "el servidor falló" or "el servidor tronó".
