Singapore is one of the nicest cities I've been to. The streets are very clean and...

I'm not sure whether I should use "the" or not in this or similar cases? In a sense, I'm not reffereing to any specific streets of Singapore. But on the other hand, If I use without the, it will mean streets in general.

    Yes, you need the definite article. You are referring to particular streets – those in Singapore, not those in London, New York etc.
