Hi,

I would like to make sure the the expression in bold in the sentence below is correct:

Following the audit, the tax authority has made a total claim of KZT 9.0 billion, of which KZT 5.8 billion is for unpaid taxes and KZT 3.2 billion represents fines and penalties for late payment.

I have found the sentence here:
Kcell JSC receives tax claim for 2012 to 2015 period

... and I have not found many similar examples, that's why I'm asking.

    Yes, it's fine. I'm not even sure why you doubt it. What is not straightforward about it? Perhaps 'made' rather than 'has made', as it's preceded by a time phrase.

    Thank you! It was the 'claim of <sum of money>' part that made me wonder; I had tried to find similar examples in Google but there were not many.
