the world's wild parents

Ciao a tutti,
il mio testo parla di come alcune specie, per riprodursi, facciano delle grandi migrazioni. La frase che mi crea qualche difficoltà è la seguente:

"Right now, the world’s wild parents are on the march, on the wing, on the run".

Come posso rendere in italiano "world’s wild parents"? La traduzione letterale non mi fa impazzire "genitori selvatici del mondo" soprattutto perchè non sono sicura se (non mi pare di averlo mai sentito almeno,) si possa usare la parola "genitore/i" in riferimento agli animali.
Potete darmi una mano a trovare una soluzione? Grazie.

È scritto così per alliterazione, e si può anche scriverlo "Right now, all the wild parents from around the world are on the march, on the wing and on the run".

Per divertirmi:
Proprio ora, i genitori selvatici dal mondo intero sono in marcia, in volo, in fuga.

I agree with you, but don't you think that if someone talks about "wild parents" you would immediately think that his parents were off their heads? I mean, I realise we are talking about mummy and daddy lion here, so "genitori selvatici" is the right translation, but I think it sounds a bit odd in Italian as well.

How about "i genitori del regno animale", smoky?

Always the translator's dilemma I suppose. How to translate awful English? Into awful Italian or do you clean it up a bit? I think LC is on the right track. Here are some other probably much worse suggestions

è un pò elaborato, ma mi sembra renda abbastanza il concetto;
avevo pensato anche ai "procreatori" (anche se in effetti "i procreatori selvaggi" non mi sembra proprio il massimo...
