Hi all;

"catching up" is a noun (meaning things or job) here?

It's already late April, so I feel like there is a bit of catching up to do.

Thanks in advance,

    Yes, it functions as a noun. It is the object of the preposition of. Objects of prepositions need to function as noun phrases.

    Catching up often means 'updating the other party on what has happened'.
