1. That's all the news there is for now.
Is this sentence OK?
"That's all the news." and "there is for now."
are two sentences.
How they are connected as a single sentence?
Can I rewrite the sentence as follows:
"That's all the news is for now. "
Please guide me.

    I think the missing connector is that -- it is correct to leave it out, by the way):
    That's all the news [that] there is for now.

    And shorter:
    That's all the news for now. (No need for "is" as you have it in your rewritten sentence.)
