Hi,

The original text uses to allow; I, on the contrary, would use to enable. Which one is better? For some some reason, to enable sounds better to me, but Google does not agree with my intuition. What do you say? Thanks in advance

We disabled some technologies. These settings allowed/ enabled us to work more efficiently.

    I sure don't think "enabled" is any better than "allowed" in that sentence. There's nothing unusual about using "allow" as it was used in that sentence.
